Privacy policy

About this policy
This policy explains how Pocket Reactor handles information on Android. You can play without creating an account. Your game progress is stored on your device. Usage and crash reports are sent only if you choose to share them, as described below. Advertising, when enabled, is provided by Google AdMob as described below.
Information stored on your device
The game stores your current run, board layouts, upgrade choices, scores, unlocked themes and preferences on your device. It also keeps a short history of game and save events to help recover a run. The game also keeps a small file of play statistics: counts such as sessions, play days, contract attempts, undo and restart use, save and recovery events and frame timing, plus the time of your last visit. The statistics hold no name, account, advertising ID, device model or other identifier. You can read, copy, switch off or delete them under Privacy & credits, then Play statistics. If you copy the statistics report, it also lists your device model, Android and game versions, language, screen size and refresh rate, graphics adapter name and engine version, whether this is a debug build, and the size and state of your save files. These are read at that moment and are not stored. If a saved run cannot be opened, the Copy support info button copies those same device details and the size and status of your save files (never their contents). Copied text goes to your device clipboard and you decide where to paste it. This information is used to resume play, save your progress and show you your own statistics. The game never sends it anywhere, and we do not receive it unless you paste a copy into a message to us.
Usage and crash reports (optional)
The first time you play, the game asks whether to share usage and crash reports. Nothing is sent unless you choose Share reports, and you can change the choice at any time under Privacy & credits, then Usage and crash reports. Playing works the same either way. When reports are on, the game uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google as our service providers. Usage reports cover contracts started and cleared, reactor test results (cleared, overheated, quota missed or score too low), stars earned, finished runs with their scores and test counts, and whether you finished the onboarding. Firebase also records app opens and session length, the app version, device model, Android version and language, a country or region estimated from your IP address, and a random app instance ID created for this installation. Crash reports cover the crash stack trace, the device model, Android version and device state such as free memory and storage, the current game mode, stage and contract, and a random Crashlytics installation ID. Reports never include your Android advertising ID, name, email address, contacts or precise location, and the advertising consent signals stay denied. We use reports to find contracts that are too hard or unclear and to fix crashes. Reports are encrypted in transit. Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months and Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days. Turning reports off stops usage reports at once and crash reports from the next launch. If the game crashes while reports are off, Crashlytics keeps that crash report on your device and sends it only if you later turn reports on. Because reports hold no name or account, we cannot match a deletion request to them. Turning reports off and clearing the app's storage stops further reports, and reports already sent expire on the schedule above.
Advertising and information handled by Google
When advertising is enabled, Google AdMob processes your IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. An IP address may be used to estimate your general location. Google uses this information to provide and measure advertising, analyze service performance, and prevent fraud. The app does not request precise location access. Google may also process identifiers associated with accounts signed in on your device where applicable. Information handled by the advertising service is encrypted in transit. Versions with advertising disabled do not include the advertising service or send this advertising data.
Advertising choices
Optional rewarded ads offer an extra in-game benefit. You can continue normal gameplay without watching them. When advertising is enabled, the game may also show a full-screen interstitial ad after you clear a contract in an expedition, before the results appear. Interstitials start only after your first finished run, need at least three cleared contracts and four minutes of active play since the last full-screen ad, and are limited to three in any hour. They never appear at launch, while you build a layout or after a failed test, and they give no reward. Where required, Google’s consent form asks for your privacy choices before eligible ad requests. When available, Privacy options in the game lets you review those choices. You can also reset or delete your Android advertising ID in Android Settings. We do not create a Pocket Reactor account or link your local game saves to an advertising profile. Google handles advertising information under its own policies, including its retention and deletion rules.
Other services and permissions
Pocket Reactor does not use Firebase authentication, cloud saves, Facebook sign-in or Google Play Games profiles. The only analytics and crash reporting are the optional Firebase reports described above, and versions that include them request internet access for those reports. It does not request access to your contacts, camera or microphone. Advertising services can collect their own diagnostics as described above. There are no in-app purchases.
Storage and deletion
Game saves are stored in the app’s private storage and remain until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. The app does not enable Android cloud backup for these saves. To delete progress, open Android Settings, choose Pocket Reactor, then Storage and Clear data. The exact labels may vary by device. Starting a new run does not delete your overall record or preferences. Play statistics are kept in a separate file in the same private storage. Delete statistics in the game removes that file, and clearing app storage or uninstalling removes it too. Your choice about usage and crash reports is kept in another small file there. Clearing app storage removes it, and the game asks again.
Contact and support
If you email us for help, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. Use only the information needed for your request. We use support correspondence to answer and resolve the request, and remove it when no longer needed, unless a legal requirement requires us to retain it. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us.
Age and children’s privacy
Pocket Reactor is intended for players aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. The game does not ask for a player’s name, email address or date of birth. Advertising services can process device and usage information as described above. Please do not include a child’s personal information in a support request. Contact us if you believe personal information from a child has been provided to us, and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, these include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawing consent, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. In California and other US states with privacy laws, you may ask to know, correct or delete personal information and opt out of its sale, of sharing for targeted advertising, and of profiling. In India, you may ask for a summary of your personal data, its correction or erasure, and for your grievance to be addressed. We use usage and crash reports, and personalized advertising where consent is required, only with your consent, and you can withdraw it in the game at any time without affecting play. We answer support email to resolve your request. We do not sell personal information for money. When advertising is enabled, Google may use device identifiers and ad interactions for personalized ads, which some US state laws treat as sharing or targeted advertising. Where required, Google’s consent form and Privacy options in the game let you decline or change this, and you can delete your Android advertising ID in Android Settings. Game data stays on your device, where you control it as described above. Reports and advertising data hold no name or account, so we cannot find them from a request. For information we hold, such as support email, contact us at the address below. We may ask you to confirm the request is yours, and we reply within one month. For advertising information, use Google’s tools linked below. Google may process information in the United States and other countries, using its own safeguards for international transfers.
Future changes
We may update this policy when features, service providers or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide additional disclosures or consent choices when required.
